Re-Certification

Re-certification is the process of renewal of one's current designation.

THE RE-CERTIFICATION PROCESS

To maintain the certification and use of the APTREX designation, re-certification is required every three-years. One must maintain a minimum of 10 CEUs/IEUs (Educational Units) during this three-year period. Educational Units are offered by most training and educational schools, and transit system training programs. The institute will give 90-days notification prior to certification expiry. Certificate holders are required to keep their profiles current. The re-certification fee can be found on the examination fee schedule. Expired certifications require full application and full fee processing. Re-certification does not require testing.
